Roanoke, VA (October 9, 2024) - The YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge is pleased to announce two upcoming events as part of the highly anticipated opening of the YMCA at Tanglewood.
A Membership Drive Event will take place on October 15th from 8:00-11:00 am and 3:00-7:00 pm. The community is invited to sign up for memberships at the YMCA at Tanglewood ahead of its planned winter opening. This event will provide an opportunity to meet the YMCA team and explore the wide range of programs and amenities available at the brand-new, 47,000-square-foot facility. Memberships that are activated that day will allow members to access all YMCA of Virginia Blue Ridge’s branches, including Kirk Family YMCA, YMCA Express at Gainsboro, Salem Family YMCA, Botetourt Family YMCA, and the Rockbridge Area YMCA.
On October 13th from 1:00-4:00 pm, a Hiring Fair will be held for those interested in working at the new Tanglewood location. The YMCA is looking to fill positions associated with wellness, childcare, housekeeping, memberships, coordinating sports, dance instruction, and pickleball instruction.
