Rockbridge Area YMCA Receives 10,000 Matching Gift

LEXINGTON, VA. (Feb 5, 2025) – The Rockbridge Area YMCA has received a generous $10,000 matching gift in support of its 2025 Annual Campaign. This contribution will match donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000. The YMCA plans to use this gift to support families, especially children, in our community.

“The matching gift presents a unique opportunity to create a meaningful difference in the lives of families,” said Chad Whitmer, Branch Executive. “I encourage everyone to consider contributing to the annual campaign as they feel inclined.” 

The Rockbridge Area YMCA is dedicated to making its programs and services accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstances. The Annual Campaign is the cornerstone of the Y’s financial assistance program, ensuring that those in need can participate. While membership fees sustain operational costs, they do not fund financial assistance programs, making community support essential for expanding access.
